TECHNOLOGY USE IN THE METVERSE FOR ART
As mentioned earlier, three key technologies, Ai, Blockchain and Computer Vision are shaping the future of the metaverse and promise to revolutionize how we interact, work, create, exchange value and entertain in digital spaces. Creating a metaverse involves a variety of tools encompassing these technologies across numerous disciplines. Some of these include:
Blockchain and Cryptocurrency: Cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology have emerged as fundamental components in this evolving digital landscape. One example is the use of cryptocurrency for transactions, such as purchasing virtual goods, virtual real estate, NFT’s, avatars etc. Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are ready to create and manage the global art economy. Within the Metaverse for Art, cryptocurrencies will facilitate ownership of real-world and digital assets and allow for their trade and sale.
Game Engines and Realistic 3D Environments: Powerful applications for creating the interactive 3D environments that form the virtual spaces and environments of the metaverse. These engines provide the tools necessary to create, manipulate, and render complex 3D graphics. In addition, these tools combined with other 3D asset creation tools enable exciting gaming and immersive experiences.
3D Asset creation and modeling Tools: These tools are cost effective, fairly easy to use and time-saving and will enlarge the user base and adoption of the metaverse.
Spatial Computing: This is the practice of using digital information that exists in three dimensions (3D), which allows users to naturally interact with digital content in the physical space. It includes AR, VR, and mixed reality (MR). The artists and users in the Metaverse for Art will create amazing experiences utilizing these tools.
AI and Deep Learning (Multimodal LLMs and Generative Art): These technologies will be used not only to create dynamic, responsive environments but allow users to create and generate their own content, and to drive the promotion, marketing, governance and reputation within the metaverse.
Knowledge Graphs: Graph Databases and Graph RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) technology improves the data capture and understanding capabilities of Large Language Models. By leveraging Knowledge Graphs, Graph RAG is able to overcome the weaknesses of traditional vector search, especially when it comes to questions that require holistic understanding and high-level reasoning. This approach promises to improve the accuracy and relevance of answers produced by large language models, making them more effective in dealing with complex and abstract questions.
Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), retrieves the relevant data and uses it as augmented context for the LLM. Instead of relying solely on knowledge derived from the training data, a RAG workflow pulls relevant information and connects static LLMs with real-time data retrieval.
Cloud Computing and Storage: To create a persistent and scalable virtual world, robust GPU computing and server technology is required. Metaverse for Art will partner with a decentralized storage providers, Cloud-based rendering GPU and TPU solutions company and other emerging companies in the space due to enable scalability and flexibility.
Networking and Real-Time Communication: Technologies that enable real-time interactions and networking, such as WebRTC or various gaming networking protocols, are crucial for maintaining the real-time interactivity of the metaverse.
Identity Verification and Security: Given that the metaverse involves digital identities and potentially sensitive data, technologies that can ensure privacy, data protection, and secure transactions are paramount. Self-Sovereign Identities and Decentralized ID’s will be individuals universal identity on the MVA platform.
Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR): VR headsets like the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, or AR technologies like Microsoft's HoloLens and various smartphone-based AR technologies are key tools for experiencing the metaverse. They provide immersive, interactive experiences that go beyond what's possible on a traditional computer screen.
MAJOR COMPONENTS AND MODULES IN THE PLATFORM
There are 12 major components of the complete Platform:
1. The Metaverse for Art Onboarding and UI. This is the main interface with comprehensive e-Commerce features, tools, and utilities that facilitate a diverse array of independent global artists to maintain their art portfolio. Artists can ‘Tokenize’ selected art (create NFT’s) that they wish to sell and conduct art commerce transactions using the platform.
Artists / owners do not have to ’Tokenize’ all their artwork and expose it on the Blockchain. They can simply use the platform to keep digital versions of their assets in form of a catalogs and ‘virtual galleries’ and use the platform for promotional purposes. Detailed record of art attributes and collectibles with standard and extended meta-data on the Blockchain can be immediately accessed by collectors, artists and insurers to facilitate transactions.
2. Self Sovereign ID / DiD Module: This module lets users who onboard create their own Identification on the platform. Standards will be used so that SSID’s and DiD’s are cross platforms and acceptable to external entities.
3. Asset NFT Creator Module: This module is used for Asset owners to create an NFT if it is not already existing. This component will also list the NFT on various registries on the Blockchain with appropriate user interfaces.
4. Blockchain Provenance ‘Smart Contracts’: This component will be used for obtain asset provenance, record asset provenance, art custody and chain of ownership on the blockchain. Asset provenance and legal portions are stored, including permissions for usage of the content on the blockchain. The Blockchain distributed ledger acts as an 'ownership registry'. It is a secure and publicly accessible registry that uses advanced cryptography and is decentralized write-once database that stores the asset Tokens. The Blockchain registry is robust and forever tamper resistant.
5. Blockchain ‘Smart Contracts’: This is the provision of creating contracts for Sales/Purchases, Loan of Assets, Appraisal transactions and all other kinds of transactions including work for hire contracts. An example of work for hire contract is the offer and acceptance by an artist to create a 3D model, animations, painting etc. for a fixed amount in a given time.
6. Ai-powered Query, Search Engine (LLMs) and GraphDB: This component is an Ai-powered search engine for content image searches. The image and object recognition components discover targeted images using a powerful AI engine and algorithms. The engine uses image identification and matching technologies currently being applied in facial and object recognition using computer vision technologies. The search engines’ also continual web crawling will monitor and protect the IP of the registered tokenized asset and immediately report violations.
7. Ai Generative Content Engine (Multimodal Generative Content Tools): Open source Generative Ai tools will be incorporated in the Metaverse platform for users to produce creative work.
8. Ai-powered Marketing Engine: This is a set of components designed to automate marketing and promotion of art, artists and exhibitions. The components have features specifically tailored for artists, galleries, museums, auction houses, dealers, and collectors. Extending reach using social media platforms is an integral feature of these components. The process of loyalty rewards, cross-marketing rewards/payments, referrals and minimum token holding rewards are also handled by this engine. The module is flexible enough to allow adjustments to rewards and promotional programs and will accommodate new creative ideas to promote the ARISTON token circulation.
9. Ai-Powered Complaints and Fraud monitoring engine: Complaints, fraud monitoring, disputes and arbitrations will be managed by this module. The system will pick random pre-approved arbiters, and using a smart contract, will follow through the entire process of conflict resolution. The system will follow best practices for enforcement of decisions.
10. Ai-Powered Reputation Management: The reputation and rating system will be stored on the blockchain. The platform will allow artists and experts (and other service providers on the MVA platform) to exchange their hard-earned reputation on the MVA platform as proof of reliability on other platforms. MVA will also accept reputation certification from other reliable platforms to contribute to the step-by-step creation of a global art-world reputation system on the Blockchain. Furthermore, the rating system implemented in the 'Reputation module' will keep the appraisers and experts honest and fair.
11. Invoice and Billing Module: The invoice and billing module is extensible – meaning it will handle multiple templates for shopping carts, accommodating various transactions, billing workflows, methods of billing, cryptocurrencies and collecting payments.
